Nope! Plate Buddies work with any clear plate. Our Premium Kit includes a tempered glass one, but any see-through dish will do the trick.
Not at all. Plate Buddies are designed for screen-free engagement. Kids interact physically with the magnets, recipe mats, and calendar, no app needed (yet).
The magnets and thermal mats are wipe-clean only. The glass plates in our kits are high-quality, tempered glass. Dishwasher and microwave safe. The disposable plates in the starter kit are reusable but hand-wash only.
That’s totally okay. Plate Buddies aren’t about perfection, they’re about progress. Even a few bites are a win. Use the system to encourage effort, not pressure clean plates.
