As a parent, I’ve always wanted dinner to feel like a moment of connection, not conflict. But like many families, we were stuck in the same routine: frustration, uneaten food, and endless bargaining. That’s what inspired me to create Happy Plate™, a smart, interactive plate designed to make meals easier to serve, more fun to eat, and something kids actually look forward to. Before bringing that technology to life, I needed to test the idea, and fund the next stage of development.
That’s how Plate Buddies™ was born: a playful, character-based mealtime system designed to make eating fun right now, while helping prove the power of positive reinforcement at the table. What surprised me most? My older kids loved it just as much as my youngest. Even my former picky eater now sits down excited to eat, without the usual standoff.
Every Plate Buddy purchase helps move us one step closer to launching the full Happy Plate™ experience. Your support, and your feedback, are helping shape something joyful, encouraging, and entirely kid-approved.
